The Senate recently approved a massive bipartisan $1.2 trillion infrastructure package after months of negotiation. This legislation would add another $550 billion in federal spending over the next five years for roads, bridges, water and sewer systems, airports, ports, railroads, broadband access improvement, electric vehicles, modernizing public transit, transportation safety, and climate change mitigation. The measure now goes to the House of Representatives where it is scheduled for a vote later this month.
