In an unprecedented move, the IRS recently stopped processing new Employee Retention Credit (ERC) claims to allow for increased scrutiny of those in process, as well as those previously processed. Despite IRS warnings, promoters continue to market exaggerated ERC claims in hopes of pocketing lucrative (10-25%) contingent fees.
