The Corporate Transparency Act took effect this year, requiring most dental practices organized as small corporations, partnerships, LLCs, FLPs, and other entities to electronically report certain information about themselves, including their beneficial owners, to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FINCEN). Firms with over 20 full-time employees, more than $5,000,000 in gross collections, and a physical office in the U.S. are exempt from the filing requirement. Firms in existence before 2024 have until December 31, 2024, to electronically file and report this information, while new entities have 90 days after formation to comply.
