Unemployment Insurance Update Notice:
The state of North Carolina has put in place a temporary ruling whereby employers are required, as of April 14, 2020, to notify employees upon separation from employment due to COVID-19 and its impact, that unemployment benefit is available to them. This notice must be given at the time employee is separated. Employers should also indicate whether they-the employer, will be filing the claim for him/her or if the employee should file his/her claim.
